A tiny hamlet which is hidden in the lofty rims of Wayanad. The best part of Kurumbalakotta is the spiritually enhancing walk to the abode which is worth taking as the view from up above the mountain is awe-struck. Kurumbalkotta has a history to trace back, which says that a Kota or fort belonging to a Kurumba caretaker was located there on the hill to spy on the enemies or spot movement from up above. But there are no traces of fort found in the nearby vicinity.

Soochipara Falls also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls is a three-tiered waterfall in Vellarimala, Wayanad, India. It is surrounded by deciduous, evergreen and montane forests. Locally referred to as Soochipara (``Soochi`` meaning ``Needle`` and ``Para`` meaning ``Rock``), the 15-20 minute drive from Meppadi to Sentinel Rock Waterfalls has views of a number of Wayanad's tea estates. The Sentinel Rock Waterfalls is 200 metres (656 feet) and offers a cliff face that is used for rock climbing.

Karapuzha Dam is located in the greenish and natural regions of Wayanad, Kerala on the Karapuzha River, a tributary of the Kabini River. Construction on the dam began in 1977 and it was complete in 2004.

Edakkal caves are famous for its pictorial paintings (cave paintings), which are considered to be of 6000 B C. These caves are located 1,200 m above the sea level on Ambukutty Mala. The name ‘Edakkal’ literally means ‘a stone in between’. Here you can see a cave formed by a heavy boulder straddling a fissure in the rock.
